Hi, my name is Nicole, and my son David worked with Paula at Speech Bloom for about seven and a half months. David was diagnosed with a language disorder around 28 months old and was connected with Paula through our regional center due to delays in expressive language. When he first started therapy, he only had about 10 to 15 words and mostly communicated through gestures or single words. He was bright and curious, but he just needed help building his vocabulary and confidence. Paula has truly been a lifesaver for our family. Her approach is so calm, warm, and child-led. She has an incredible ability to meet kids exactly where they are and build language through whatever they’re naturally interested in. Watching her work was amazing, especially the patience she showed when David wanted to do things his own way. Instead of resisting him, she entered into his world and created opportunities for language in those moments. Over the months we worked together, we saw incredible growth. David is now using three-word phrases and beyond, his vocabulary has expanded tremendously, and most importantly, his confidence has grown. His most recent evaluation showed his expressive language in the average range, and his overall language skills are now right where they should be for his age. That kind of progress is something we are so grateful for. Paula doesn’t just work with the child, she partners with the family. You can feel how deeply she cares, and as a parent, that makes all the difference. We are so thankful for the foundation she helped build for David as he transitions into preschool. If you are considering speech therapy for your child, I cannot recommend Paula enough.Posted on Katherine Gailey2025-11-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our son had a speech delay due to hearing loss, so he had tubes put in his ears and could hear again. But he needed some help getting caught up with his speech. Before we stared speech therapy he was always frustrated because he couldn't communicate and we were always frustrated because we couldn't understand what he wanted. Paula was his therapist for about 6 months and she was so amazing with him! She helped him learn new words and sounds in fun ways, and he always looked forward to the sessions. As parents, she also gave us so many tips and tools to continue helping him learn and expand his vocabulary outside of the sessions. Our son learned so many things, so quickly and he no longer needs speech therapy. We will miss our weekly visits with Paula, but we are so happy that she was able to help him communicate stronger and become more confident. Thank you so much Paula!Posted on Nicole Crowe2025-11-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paula is an amazing speech therapist and helped my daughter greatly. She was very kind and patient with her, and made the experience fun and enjoyable for my daughter by bringing her favorite toys to the sessions. We noticed a dramatic improvement in my daughter’s speech after only a few sessions, and are having continual progress.Posted on Subitha Ramasamy2025-10-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We've been seeing Paula for our 2 yo son with a speech delayed through the Regional Center. It's been a few months since we started with the weekly in home sessions and we've seen lots of improvements over time. With the weekly sessions and the home practices and exercises, we hoping our son will catch up soon.Posted on Adriana Rosas2025-05-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paula is such a wonderful person and therapist and I am so glad she has opened her own practice! So many people will be helped by her. Her office is welcoming and kid-friendly, with toys in the waiting room and very nice, comfortable upholstered chairs to sit in while waiting. She really has put thought into everything!Posted on Phoebe 0.382025-03-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter worked with Ms. Paula for articulation difficulties. Despite years of intervention elsewhere, this continued to be an area of need, leading to low self-esteem as she entered middle school. With a clear and systematic treatment plan, Ms. Paula was EVERYTHING in helping my daughter gain confidence in her speech. It is important to note that our speech goals were reached within a year of weekly treatment. This was not a long, drawn out process. Prior to finding Ms. Paula, we were feeling a bit defeated, as it was difficult finding a trusting therapist. If your family is searching for of a highly skilled and empathetic speech therapist, look no further.Posted on Raquel B2025-03-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am a pediatrician with a child with Down Syndrome. Paula provided speech therapy for my daughter and she is amazing! My daughter has had many speech therapists in the past, but Paula is hands down, the best! I even had her assess my son! She is extremely knowledgeable and she always has a plan to move your child forward. By the time my daughter was 5, my daughter was even able to graduate from speech for a period of time, something I never thought was even possible in a child with Down Syndrome. My daughter loves to work with her as well which is very important. I am an exclusive Paula client now and I won't go to anyone else because she is the best!
